Three Pennsylvania Realtors® Honored at Meeting
Three Pennsylvania Realtors® received awards during the board of directors meeting yesterday.
Randy Myer, Todd Umbenhauer and Mark Mohn were all honored during a special presentation. Myer of Gladwyne received the Lifetime Achievement Award, which recognizes an individual who has significantly contributed to the Realtor® organization. Umbenhauer of Souderton was named the Realtor® of the Year, which acknowledges meritorious contributions to the advancement of the profession and to the real estate community. Mohn of Wyomissing was presented the Realtor® Active in Politics Award, which distinguishes exemplary legislative volunteerism on behalf of the association.
A Realtor® for 28 years, Myer has served as director on PAR’s board for more than 20 years and has served on several state committees. She is an avid RPAC supporter and a member of the RPAC Hall of Fame. On the local level, she has served on many committees, including the Executive Committee and the Legislative Committee, and on the board of directors for her local association, the Suburban West Realtors® Association. She served as president of the Delaware Valley Realtors® in 2002. Myer has also received both the Presidents Visionary Award and the Epic Award from Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Fox & Roach.
“I am beyond honored,” said Myer. “I’ve always felt I’ve gotten more from being involved than I’ve given. I can’t tell you how much this means to me. Thank you so so much.”
Umbenhauer has been a Realtor® for 46 years years and has been an active participant in the association. A past PAR president, he serves on the board of directors and on multiple committees. He has also served as a National Association of Realtors® director. A member of Montgomery County Association of Realtors®, Todd has served on nearly every local committee, the board of directors and was president of the former East Montgomery Association of Realtors®.
“I am totally surprised and humbled to be named PAR’s 2020 Realtor® of the Year. There are many more deserving of this award than me. My true reward is the many close relationships I have made over the years through PAR and NAR while working on behalf of our members and the public we serve. I thank everyone for this recognition,” said Umbenhauer.
Mohn, a Realtor® for 14 years, has been a crusader for Realtor® issues at the local, state and national level. A member of the Reading-Berks Association of Realtors®, Mohn has served as the chair of PAR’s Legislative Committee and the Public Policy Coordinating Committee, a RPAC trustee and is a Sterling R investor. He’s also presented testimony on behalf of PAR before a state legislative hearing and regularly attends hill visits. As the Federal Political Coordinator for Congressman Dan Meuser (R-PA9), Mohn consistently represents Realtor® issues like the National Flood Insurance Program, fair housing and opportunity zones.
“I am truly honored and humbled to receive the 2020 Realtor® Active in Politics Award, which honestly came as a complete surprise,” said Mohn. “There are so many Realtors® across the state of Pennsylvania that have been active on many levels and committed to the Realtor® cause. All it takes is the willingness to get involved and understand the important part we all play in our advocacy mission, as individuals and as associations. Again, I am truly humbled to join the ranks of other Realtors® who have received this award and encourage everyone to get involved, support RPAC and get out and vote.”
