Three Pennsylvania Realtors® honored at Fall Business Meetings
Three Pennsylvania Realtors® received awards during a special gathering last night in Harrisburg during the Pennsylvania Association of Realtors® Fall Business Meetings.
Jerry Romanik of Hawley was given the Lifetime Achievement Award, which recognizes an individual who has significantly contributed to the Realtor® organization. Ron Croushore of Pittsburgh was named the Realtor® of the Year, which acknowledges meritorious contributions to the advancement of the profession and to the real estate community. And David Dean of Sewickley was presented the Realtor® Active in Politics Award, which distinguishes exemplary legislative volunteerism on behalf of the association.
Romanick has been an active Realtor® for 43 years, and served as PAR’s president in 2004. He was named Realtor® of the Year in 2009, has served on PAR’s Board of Directors for more than 30 years, and is currently District 5’s Vice President. He has also served on numerous committees, task forces and work groups throughout the years on the state level. Romanick is a member of the Pike/Wayne Association of Realtors®, where he has served on the board of directors for 35 years, and was president in 1981 and 1989. He has received Pike Wayne Association’s Lifetime Achievement Award, and received Board Member Emeritus status in 2013
“To be successful for 43 years of real estate, you can’t do that yourself,” said Romanik. “You need the help and support from a lot of people.”
Croushore has been a Realtor® for more than 30 years. He served as PAR’s president in 2015, and received PAR’s Realtor® Active in Politics Award that same year. He has been a member of the Realtors® Association of Metropolitan Pittsburgh for more than 30 years, and served as president in 2006. He received RAMP’s Distinguished Service Award in 2000, was named RAMP Realtor® of the Year in 2009, and received RAMP’s President’s Award in 2016. He also serves on RAMP’s Board of Directors and on several task forces on the local level as well.
“I’m passionate about what I do, and I am really blessed,” said Croushore. “The Realtor® family has supported me through everything. We’re here to promote the dream of homeownership with all we can do.”
Dean is a member of the Realtors® Association of Metropolitan Pittsburgh, where he is president-elect, and serves on the Government Affairs Committee. He has also been on several legislative task forces, helping to shape the association’s position on key issues. In 2015, he received RAMP’s Richard Stampahar Most Active in Politics Award. Dean has served on PAR’s Legislative Committee, and routinely visits his representatives to discuss real-estate related issues.
Dean spoke about developing a love for politics early in life, thanks to his mother. “I am a political junkie. I have some passion, and sometimes, it comes out, but it’s all for the real estate profession,” he said.
