Strengthening the Realtor® voice in 2015

I’m passionate about real estate.

I’ve been in the business for more than 30 years and I love it. I love helping families buy new homes; and years later helping their children find the homes of their dreams. You all know exactly what I’m talking about. Being a Realtor® means we play an important role in people’s lives. I feel blessed to be part of it.

I’m excited to begin my year as president of the Pennsylvania Association of Realtors®. I think it’s an amazing opportunity to give back to an industry that I truly believe in. PAR is a terrific organization and over the years, I’ve seen the tremendous benefits the association brings to its members. Whether it’s lobbying on our behalf at the Capitol, or creating standard forms necessary to conduct our business, or providing a service like the legal hotline, the benefits are numerous. Together, we make a difference in our industry.

PAR is the voice of real estate and we can make it stronger. Over the next year, the association will be strengthening the Realtor® voice to the public and encouraging consumers to ask Pennsylvania Realtors® about real estate-related issues. Realtors® are a trusted resource when buying, selling or investing-in property. We know what matters to buyers and sellers in our markets. A vast majority of today’s buyers and sellers – four out of five – used a real estate professional in their transaction.

We want to encourage consumers to ask us everything they want to know about the market. What should they consider when purchasing a home? What do they need to know about mortgages? What’s involved in a home inspection? How do they prepare their home to sell it quickly? As Realtors®, we are the experts on these issues. We can help them find a home that best fits their needs.

We give our clients a tremendous advantage – whether it’s buying or selling a home, finding a new location for a business, or helping an investor find just the right property. Realtors® have the knowledge and expertise to assist their clients when making one of the most important fiscal decisions in their lifetimes.
