Social Networking Online for Realtors®

“It’s the personality behind things that makes people want to keep in touch with you and use you as their Realtor®,” Realtor® and speaker Heather Haase says about social networking online in the real estate industry.

Haase is hosting a session at this year’s Triple Play Realtor® Convention and Trade Expo titled “How Not to Be a Robot in a Digital World,” where she will speak to real estate professionals about social networking and using social media to your advantage in a way that’s personable.

Social media is a great way to connect with family, friends, other Realtors®, clients and more. Haase believes it’s important to gear your networking to the appropriate audience on the appropriate social platform and to know your audience.

When it comes to clients, Haase likes to connect over Facebook. For businesses and entrepreneurs, she often turns to Instagram. She finds TikTok to be a great place to connect with other Realtors®, homebuyers, first-time buyers and those in the real estate industry.

For her, it’s important not to come across as robotic online. While she doesn’t have anything against automated content, she recommends creating engaging, personable content as well to break things up and keep the attention of friends and followers.

Although social media may seem like a daunting chore, Haase says if you post things you like, it’s hardly something to dread. Staying positive and engaging with positive content can also add to the enjoyment and help Realtors® have more fun while creating their online brand.

The Triple Play session is set up for both social media beginners and those just looking for some extra inspiration. Two sessions will be offered on Dec. 5 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. and Dec. 6 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. You can register for Triple Play online.
