Six Pennsylvania Leaders Named to 2023 Swanepoel Power List

Six Pennsylvania leaders in the real estate industry were named to the Swanepoel Power 200 list.

Helen and Hoddy Hanna of Howard Hanna were named seventh, Larry Flick V of Fox & Roach was named 66th, Joan Docktor of Fox & Roach was named 71st, Tom Hosack of BHHS The Preferred Realty was 132nd and Rod Messick of BHHS HomeSale was 150th. All six made the list last year as well.

For the Hannas, it’s all in the family in the real estate business. In 2021, Howard Hanna Real Estate had more than $36 billion in sales. Hoddy serves as chairman of the firm, while Helen is CEO. Hoddy has been in the real estate industry for nearly 60 years, while Helen has for nearly 50 years.

Flick serves as CEO of BHHS Fox & Roach Realtors®. He oversees more than 5,000 agents throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, with $12 billion in sales. He has been in management for nearly 17 years at the brokerage.

Docktor is president of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Fox & Roach Realtors®, managing more than 5,000 agents, representing $12 billion in sales.

Hosack serves as CEO and president of Pittsburgh’s Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices The Preferred Realty. He manages more than 2,000 agents, with $4.5 billion in sales.

Messick oversees BHHS Homesale Realty, with 1,300 agents and $4.4 bullion in sales annually. He has served as CEO since 2019.
