Mt. Lebanon, a suburb of Pittsburgh, was recently named the country’s third most popular neighborhood by Realtor.com.
In January, listings in Mt. Lebanon received over three times the number of views as the typical U.S. home. The median list price was $383,725, compared to the national median of just over $400,000.
Established in 1912, Mt. Lebanon was home to over 34,000 residents as of the last Census. The community spans more than six square miles, featuring tree-lined streets, nationally ranked schools, award-winning health care and thriving businesses.
“Walkability to the centralized business districts throughout this charming neighborhood is one of its most attractive assets,” says Michelle Senko, president of the Realtors® Association of Metropolitan Pittsburgh. “Home to many favorite local restaurants, shops and retailers, this close-knit community offers all the best of suburban living while being minutes from downtown Pittsburgh.”
Residents of Mt. Lebanon – often called “Lebo” by locals – are close to some of Pittsburgh’s most popular attractions, including the Andy Warhol Museum, Carnegie Museums and Pittsburgh Zoo and Aquarium. Sports fans can cheer on the Steelers at Acrisure Stadium and the Pittsburgh Pirates at PNC Park.
