Pennsylvania Broker Reappointed to Appraisal Standards Board
Michelle Czekalski Bradley of Czekalski Real Estate, Inc. in Natrona Heights has been reappointed to the Appraisal Standards Board of The Appraisal Foundation for a three-year term.
The Appraisal Standards Board is responsible for writing, amending and interpreting the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice, according to their website.
With more than 30 years experience as an appraiser, Bradley was first appointed to the board two years ago. “When I was originally appointed, I was very proud and very excited. Somehow, I am even more excited this time because for this appointment, I proved myself with my work. I feel very humbled; working on the board has been fascinating,” she said. “It’s overwhelming, but in a good way. It requires you to be forward-thinking. You always have to stay one step ahead because you’re always thinking of the future. It is a great learning experience. I learn something new every day. I am awed by the people on this board.”
Real estate is a family profession for Bradley. “My grandmother, Betty Czekalski, became a Realtor® in 1958, opening her own office in 1963,” she said. “She was a real trendsetter, as most women didn’t work outside the home then, and certainly didn’t own their own company. So now I’m the third-generation in my family’s four-generation company. I believe in the longevity of this profession and seek to work to the betterment of the profession.”
“I wanted to be on the board because the profession has been so good to me,” added Bradley. “It’s just my way of doing that and protecting the future.”
