PAR members rock REALTORS® Reach Out Month
Monetary donations increased 260 percent during REALTORS® Reach Out Month due to an overwhelming response by REALTORS® statewide.
More than 2,500 REALTORS® in 26 associations and boards raised nearly $73,000, collected more than 12,390 pounds of food and donated 1,000 pieces of clothing to charitable organizations throughout October.
Last year, 2,200 REALTORS® donated $28,085 and collected 5,500 pounds of food.
“REALTORS® Reach Out Month is a great way to give back to the community. I’ll sign up tomorrow for next year,” said Bob Hoobler, broker of EXIT Platinum Plus Realty in Camp Hill.
Hoobler, a member of the Greater Harrisburg Association of REALTORS®, participated in the association’s project by rehabbing homes.
REALTORS® Reach Out was extended to a month-long initiative this year so more associations and boards could participate.
