Five Pennsylvania Realtors® Named to 2020 Swanepoel Power 200
Swanepoel’s POWER 200, a list of the leaders in the real estate industry, includes five Pennsylvania Realtors® in 2020.
Congratulations to those who have received this honor. Below are the names and a brief biography of the leaders.
9. Howard “Hoddy” Hanna and Helen Hanna Casey, Pittsburgh. Now in its 63rd year, Howard serves as the chairman, while Helen is the CEO of Howard Hanna Real Estate Services. In 2018, the firm had more than 105,000 transactions, making up almost $23 billion in sales. The third largest real estate firm in the country, with offices in Pennsylvania, Ohio, New York, Virginia, Michigan, West Virginia, North Carolina and Maryland, the firm is based in Pittsburgh.
41. Lawrence “Larry” Flick IV, Malvern. Chairman of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Fox & Roach and president of HomeServices of America’s Atlantic Region, Flick oversees more than 4,000 agents in 60 offices. With more than 50 years experience in the real estate industry, Flick has received the William H. Bates Award from the Delaware County Planning Commission and the Outstanding Land Development Award from the Montgomery County Planning Commission, Greater Philadelphia Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year, Mustang Scholars Foundation Man of the Year and Prudential Real Estate Affiliates Broker of the Year.
47. Joan Docktor, Philadelphia. As the president of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Fox & Roach, Docktor oversees 65 offices and more than 5,000 agents. The third largest brokerage in the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices family, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Fox & Roach does nearly $12 billion annually in sales. She’s been president of the company since 2013, and with the company since 1986. Doctktor has received numerous awards, including the 2018 Power Broker Real Estate Leadership Award, the 2016 Helena Devereux Women in Leadership Award and the 2016 Women on the Move Award.
144. Tom Hosack, Pittsburgh. The CEO and president of Pittsburgh’s Berkshire Hathaway HomeService, he previously was president of Century 21 West Penn, LLC before transitioning to COO of Northwood Realty, when Northwood and Century 21 merged and eventually becoming president and CEO. In the summer of 2018, Northwood Realty Services acquired Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices The Preferred Realty, where Hosack remains president and CEO. With 1,800 agents and 54 offices across Pennsylvania and Ohio, they are the top market share in the region. Hosack serves on NAR’s Large Residential Firms Real Estate Services Advisory Group and was the chairman of the Board for the Realty Alliance.
