About the Consumer Notice
Drafted by the Pennsylvania State Real Estate Commission, the Consumer Notice (Form CN) must be provided to the consumer at the first contact where a substantive discussion about real estate occurs.
The Consumer Notice enables consumers of real estate services to make informed decisions about the business relationships they may have with real estate brokers and real estate licensees.
If the first discussion about real estate with the consumer does not take place in person, the Consumer Notice regulations provide for an Oral Consumer Notice to be read aloud to be followed up with the written Consumer Notice at the first in-person meeting.
