“As a long-time Lititz local, I can say our town is the perfect place for a winter visit!” Jason Burkholder, a member of the Reading-Berks Association of Realtors®, shares. “We are so fortunate to have a welcoming community full of amazing people and a spirit of volunteerism that allows us to put on events like nowhere else. From holiday gatherings and carol singing for December traditionalists to spectacular ice sculptures, fun and entertainment of a different sort during Lititz Fire and Ice in February, you won’t be bored! It’s a place where cozy cafes and world-class eateries are nestled in the scenic streetscape, with a wide variety of eclectic shops and special events happening year-round.”

“The stars come out in December and then they get tucked away in January so the sidewalks and storefronts can glow under the soft lighting of the Edison bulbs in the trees,” Burkholder adds, detailing the town’s cozy winter atmosphere and its festive holiday star lights. “We’re full of historic charm and architecture to admire if you’re out for an evening walk. You can visit the museums of the Lititz Historical Society or Julius Sturgis Pretzel House and take a stroll around the winding paths to Lititz Springs Park. There are plenty of places to enjoy a drink of all kinds, from amazing coffee shops to little dive bars, from craft brews to hand-crafted spirits.”

“Come visit,” Burkholder encourages. “You’ll see why they say our town is the place where preservation meets progress, and you’ll fall in love with our community too!”
