Lititz Makes Top 20 Coziest Winter Towns

For a cozy winter getaway, look no further than Lititz, Pennsylvania, which ranked No. 15 on New York Travel Guides’ list of 110 Coziest Winter Towns in America for a Magical Getaway.

To find the country’s best winter towns, New York Travel Guides gathered and compared data from 575 small towns across the United States. Three categories were considered: popularity during winter with the general public and photographers, cozy weather and cozy activities and atmosphere. Each category was scored out of 100.

Lititz ranked No. 15 on the list, with a winter popularity score of 71.4, a cozy weather score of 71.8 and an impressive cozy activities and atmosphere score of 96.8.

“The stars come out in December and then they get tucked away in January so the sidewalks and storefronts can glow under the soft lighting of the Edison bulbs in the trees,” Burkholder adds, detailing the town’s cozy winter atmosphere and its festive holiday star lights. “We’re full of historic charm and architecture to admire if you’re out for an evening walk. You can visit the museums of the Lititz Historical Society or Julius Sturgis Pretzel House and take a stroll around the winding paths to Lititz Springs Park. There are plenty of places to enjoy a drink of all kinds, from amazing coffee shops to little dive bars, from craft brews to hand-crafted spirits.”
