PAR’s Harry Young Again Named to City and State PA’s Pride Power 100
PAR Association Services Manager Harry Young was honored Thursday night at the Pride Power 100 event in Philadelphia after being named to City and State PA’s Pride Power 100 for the second year.
City and State’s PA’s Pride Power 100 recognizes a wide variety of Pennsylvanians for their work in the LGBTQ+ community. Young has been involved with the Keystone Business Alliance for nearly a decade. He originally served as the president and CEO of the organization before its rebranding, when it was known as the Central Pennsylvania Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce. Once the chamber debuted as the alliance, Young became its executive director and continues to work to expand the economic interests of LGBTQ+-owned and allied businesses. The alliance serves eight counties in central Pennsylvania. Young was also appointed by then-Gov. Tom Wolf to serve on the Pennsylvania Commission on LGBTQ Affairs.
“The City and State’s PA’s Pride Power 100 list recognizes so many fantastic people working to make the commonwealth a welcoming place for everyone,” said Young. “I am flattered to again make the list with so many of my peers who work tirelessly day in and day out for the LGBTQ+ community.”
At PAR, he is part of the AIM team and is responsible for providing leadership, guidance and management services to clients.
“Harry’s contributions to the LGBTQ+ community in Pennsylvania are profound,” said PAR’s CEO Mike McGee. “PAR is delighted to see him again recognized on this highly influential and impressive list.”
Young is a graduate of Messiah College and holds a bachelor’s degree in politics.
