Three Realtors® to Return to Pennsylvania General Assembly

Three Realtors® were successful in their reelection campaigns for the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. All three will return to the General Assembly along with many other candidates backed by the Pennsylvania Realtors® Political Action Committee.

Realtors® Sue Helm (R, 104-Dauphin), Greg Rothman (R, 87-Cumberland) and Todd Polinchock (R, 144-Bucks) all successfully won their reelection campaigns in the 2020 general election. Currently, 87% of PA RPAC-endorsed candidates won their races for Pennsylvania Senate and House of Representatives, with nine additional races yet to be determined. In these nine races, eight of the RPAC-endorsed candidates are currently leading their challengers.

In addition to endorsing a total of 99 candidates for state Senate and House of Representatives, PA RPAC was heavily involved in five House races, contacting voters directly on behalf of their endorsed candidates. In four of the five races, the PA RPAC-endorsed candidate was successful including Reps. Ryan Bizzarro (D, 3-Erie), Meghan Schroeder (R, 29-Bucks), Tina Davis (D, 141-Bucks) and Polinchock. Rep. KC Tomlison’s (R, 18-Bucks) race has yet to be called, with Rep. Tomlinson currently leading her challenger.

The Alliance for a Better Pennsylvania, a political action committee that conducts independent expenditure campaigns affiliated with the Pennsylvania Association of Realtors®, also was involved in several state legislative races.

Sen. Scott Martin (R, 13-Lancaster) and Reps. Anita Kulik (D, 45-Allegheny) and Steven Mentzer (R, 97-Lancaster) won their bids for reelection.

Sen. Tom Killion (R, 9-Delaware), facing probably the most difficult reelection of any member in the Pennsylvania Senate, narrowly was defeated in his race.

In Lehigh County, Michael McCreary (R) failed in his bid to replace incumbent Rep. Mike Schlossberg (D, 132-Lehigh) and challenger Scott Hough (R) was also unsuccessful in his bid to replace incumbent Rep. Steve Samuelson (D, 135-Lehigh).
