Holiday gift ideas for your clients
With the holidays right around the corner, many Realtors® like to give their past and current clients a gift to remind them of their favorite real estate agent.
Agents have many creative ideas to make their gifts stand out.
“Over the years, I have had custom pottery in a variety of shapes and sizes created for my clients. Since my company is Century 21 Covered Bridges Realty, the lid on the crock has a covered bridge handle and the front of the crock is an imprint of a covered bridge that says “Bridging Your Dreams,” said District 7 Vice President Dot Rhone. “Of course, since they cost more than an allowable client gift, my name and contact information is pressed into the back, so it is advertising and completely deductible. My clients always love them.”
Rhone also suggested sending calendar magnets with your photo and contact information in a holiday card with a handwritten personal message to past clients. She said she continues to get business and referrals from these former clients, as the magnet is a friendly reminder of her services.
District 3 Vice President Maryellen O’Brien said she has changed her holiday gifts over her career as a Realtor®, but she has found a winner in recent years.
“I order a house ornament for each buyer that closed since last Christmas with ‘our new home,’ the address and year engraved and drop it off at their home along with a small treat, like truffles from our local candy store or a gift tower with treats,” she said. “Also, if I know that my clients have a new baby, I order a baby’s first Christmas ornament, engraved with the baby name and birth date. Social media has made that task much easier.”
She also likes to send a poinsettia or Christmas green arrangement to clients she is currently working with.
