Two Pennsylvania Realtors® inducted to National RPAC Hall of Fame

realtor_partyThe National Realtors® Political Action Committee (RPAC) inducted two Pennsylvania Association of Realtors® members into the Hall of Fame yesterday at the National Association of Realtors® Legislative Meetings in Washington, D.C.

PAR Past President Guy Matteo and Realtor® George Raad are new inductees, making lifetime investments of more than $25,000 to RPAC.

“We’re proud to have Pennsylvania Realtors® represented by two distinguished members who have made a lifetime commitment to RPAC and political advocacy at the local, state and national levels,” said PAR President Todd Polinchock.

Matteo, a member and past chair of the Suburban West Realtors® Association, was awarded PAR’s Realtor® Active in Politics in 1999 and the Realtor® of the Year in 2008.

“I’ve invested in RPAC and will continue to do so to insure the dream of homeownership and all its benefits are available to all for many generations to come,” Matteo said. “RPAC is truly an investment in the present and the future dream of homeownership. RPAC helps preserve the mortgage interest and real estate tax deductibility and many other key benefits for current and future homeowners.”

A past president of the Greater Lehigh Valley Realtors®, Raad received PAR’s Realtor® Active in Politics award in 2007.

“It’s a tremendous honor but I haven’t done anything spectacular. I invest in RPAC each year because I believe in our cause,” Raad said. “RPAC gives us a seat at the table and it protects our profession. I have a tremendous appreciation for what’s being done on behalf of our profession at the local, state and national levels. It helps our business from being overrun by government regulations and legislation. A lot of people do a lot of things on our behalf to allow us to stay in business.”
