Todd Polinchock installed as PAR’s 93rd president

Bucks County Realtor® F. Todd Polinchock was installed as the 2016 president of the Pennsylvania Association of Realtors® (PAR) by state Sen. Charles “Chuck” McIlhinney during a ceremony last night in Harrisburg.

President Elect Kathleen “Kathy” McQuilkin, First Vice President Todd Umbenhauer, Treasurer Bill McFalls, Jr., and District Vice Presidents Therese Kelley, David I. Brant, William Festa, Patricia Carey, Dorothy “Dot” Rhone, Lynn Knapko, Charles Foht and W. Preston Moore were issued the oath of office by state Rep. Frank Farry.

A Realtor® for 14 years, Polinchock works with Keller Williams in Doylestown. He previously served as president of the Bucks County Association of Realtors® and the chair of the Suburban Realtors® Alliance.

In recognition of Polinchock’s military service, the U.S. Sea Cadets Corps Constellation Division from Harrisburg conducted the Presentation of the Colors. Polinchock is a retired U.S. Navy Commander and a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy. His son, Nick Polinchock, led the Pledge of Allegiance and his daughter, Emily Polinchock, sang the National Anthem.

Master of ceremonies, James Goldsmith, legal counsel with Caldwell and Kearns, outlined Polinchock’s life and military career as he introduced him to the stage. Sounds of the Douglas A-4 Skyhawk aircraft hitting top speeds highlighted the presentation.

In his speech, Polinchock compared his leadership at PAR to his military career as a Navy aircraft carrier pilot. “I learned a lot about life and about teamwork as a pilot. And getting into a cockpit was a blast,” he said. “As president of PAR, it’s the same. I’m having a blast as I travel around the state and I get to meet so many special people. You’re special because you care. It’s a privilege to do this job, just as it was to serve in the military. It’s also an awesome responsibility to serve PAR because we work to protect private property rights and the dream of homeownership.

“Some of my favorite people are first-time homebuyers because they’re excited and you know you’ve helped them achieve their dreams,” he added.

Polinchock is a recipient of the Pennsylvania Realtor® Active in Politics Award and he received the Bucks County Realtor® of the Year Award. He and his wife Jennifer reside in Warrington with their family.

Immediate Past President Ron Croushore offered reflections about his year as president. “It was a tremendous honor and privilege to serve this association. You meet a lot of people and meeting those people was priceless. We all get behind the purpose to protect private property rights and homeownership. Realtors® have a loud voice – 32,000 strong – in Pennsylvania.” He also thanked the many volunteers of the association who give hundreds of hours to benefit the real estate industry.
