Ron Croushore installed as 2015 PAR president
The Pennsylvania Association of Realtors® installed Ron Croushore, CRB as the 92nd president last night at the annual inaugural banquet. The festivities featured gold and black decorations, highlighting Croushore’s love of his hometown Pittsburgh teams.
Croushore was installed by House Speaker Leader Rep. Mike Turzai (R-Allegheny) who credited Croushore and Realtors® with connecting people to their dreams through real estate.
In real estate, Croushore said he saw opportunity, change and fun. His passion for real estate extends to helping families.
“We keep the dream of homeownership alive,” he said. “Since my first day in the business, it was so amazing to me how important we are to this industry,” said Croushore. “The public needs us.”
In 2015, Croushore believes in moving the bar forward for Realtors®. “We are the voice. We can make it stronger,” he said. “Realtors® should strive to be the expert and the primary source for government, media and public.”
“Let’s protect that Realtor® ‘R,'” he concluded.
PAR’s 2014 President Kim Skumanick thanked everyone for their support of her theme, “Together we succeed.” Touting numerous victories, including electing 54 of the 57 state House and Senate candidates PAR supported, Skumanick declared that “Together, we succeeded.”
Croushore is the owner and chief executive officer of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices The Preferred Realty in Pittsburgh. An active member of PAR, Croushore has chaired multiple committees, including the Strategic Planning Committee and the Realtors® Political Action Committee (RPAC). He has also served as PAR’s treasurer and first vice president.
At the National Association of Realtors®, he is a member of the board of directors and serves on several committees.
Croushore has served as president of the West Penn Multi-List, Inc., president of the Realtors® Association of Metropolitan Pittsburgh (RAMP), and was named RAMP’s Realtor® of the Year.
His industry accomplishments were recognized by RISMedia in 2011 when Croushore became the first recipient of the Real Estate Leadership Award, an award given to a member of the national real estate community who pursues innovation and exercises resilience. That same year, his national real estate franchisor network of 65,000 members named him Broker of the Year.
Since 2011, Croushore has served as the first-ever Realtor® to be appointed, by the Pennsylvania Legislature, to the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency (PHFA) Board of Directors.
