Murray: Licensees need to 'mind the gap'
Real estate licensees can no longer expect to achieve measurable results in their marketing if they don’t acknowledge the impact of generational influences, according to real estate instructor and 2011 Triple Play speaker Karel Murray.
“Targeting communication to the needs of different generations will help create powerful, meaningful connections with the consumer and will build your referral base,” she said.
“Identifying why understanding generations is so important” is among the topics Murray will discuss during the 2011 Triple Play Realtor® Convention & Trade Expo, from Dec. 6-8 at the Atlantic City Convention Center. Murray will offer an education session titled ‘Mind the Gap’ to the assembly on Tuesday, Dec. 6.
Murray’s session will offer various types of learning methods to engage the audience including group exercises, role play, interactive questioning, power point demonstrations and humor.
One of the objectives Murray has for participants upon completion of the session is to be able to communicate effectively between clients and consumers by eliminating unnecessary stress during interactions by applying the generational concepts she will teach throughout the course.
“‘Minding the gap’ is pulling everything together to take a look at the details, applying marketing concepts, looking at the way we communicate with clients and making sure we are doing everything we are supposed to be doing,” she said. “When you ‘mind the gap’ everyone wins.”
As a professional keynote speaker, Murray has connected with hundreds of audiences across the country and abroad. She has earned numerous certifications including Certified Speaking Professional and Distinguished Real Estate Instructor. She is also the author of Hitting Our Stride: Women, Work and What Matters and the present owner of Our Branch, Inc., a national and international speaking and training company.
Triple Play is co-sponsored by the Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York State associations of Realtors®.
