The new Young Professionals Network chapter in Pennsylvania received word from the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) this week that it is an officially recognized chapter.

Adrienne Loughery, founder and chair of the Pennsylvania YPN chapter, said the chapter is working to grow its membership statewide and invites everyone to attend a meeting. “There is no age limit to join our chapter and there are no dues. ‘Young’ can be interpreted in many ways – young in age, young at heart, young in the industry or young in technology,” she said. “We want our chapter to be ageless.”

YPN was established to offer networking opportunities, educational and professional classes and to encourage new REALTORS® to become involved in their local, state and national associations.

Loughery, a REALTOR® with Everyhome in Blue Bell, said the vision for the chapter is multifaceted. “We’d like to see our chapter grow, garner statewide members and provide educational opportunities to our members,” she said.

The PA YPN chapter’s second event will be Thursday,  Nov. 19 following the Schuylkill County Board of REALTORS® breakfast meeting at the Pottsville Club, 201 S. 26th Street in Pottsville at 10:45 a.m. The event will feature a roundtable discussion on how to survive short sales and foreclosures. Several mortgage companies have been invited to participate.kickoff_party_sign Those interested in attending should send Loughery an e-mail. Members are also encouraged to join YPN PA’s Facebook group.
